Specialized Contracting/Construction & Projects Division executes construction and building contracts(Concrete and Steel structure), supplies and installs the equipment used in ports. 

This Division executes a great percentage of works in Kuwait’s market specialized in waterproofing membrane and resin injection that can be summerized in the following:

1.   Waterproofing membrane for basements, roofs and bathooms
2.   Resin injection to treat leakage in basements, pools and concrete water tanks.
3.   Resin injection to treat soil settlement.
4.   Treating cracks in concrete by using injection systems.
5.   Treating floors of storehouses, airfields and car parks.
6.   Treating concretes using Shot Crete system.
7.   Waterproofing membrane for lakes and oil tanks using (HDPE) materials.
8.   Front finishing works for different buildings.
9.   Fireproofing works.
10. Steel structures and K-Span shades.

The Avenues
The biggest of all the Company’s projects is The Avenues that was opened in early 2007. It is a massive 425.000 sq m project of the Company in association with Mabanee Co., one of Kuwait’s premier real estate developers. It costs about US $ 2 bn (the Company’s contract price is US $ 165.000.000 for basement waterproofing works) and consists of 216 stores including Kuwait’s first Carrefour hypermarket, the region’s largest IKEA store, Cinescape (a 10-screen cinema complex) and 39 restaurants and cafees. 60.000 sq m more of leisure and retail space will be added in 2008 and the whole project is scheduled to be completed in 2010.

7. Cancer Treatment Center, Al-Adan Hospital for Ministry of Health.
8. Investment Building for Al-Kawthar Company.
9. Investment Building for Husain Al-Qattan Co.
10. Service Works at Safir International Hotel for Kuwait Investment Group.

The Company is very proud to get the best price of KD 64.377.000 presented to Kuwait Ports Authority to implement both Shuwaikh Port in 2007 and Shuaiba Port in 2008. It participated in these two great projects as a joint venture with one of the world’s leading crane suppliers: Liebher Container Cranes Ltd. (Ireland).
